Recruitment

On a College Campus

The most common way to become an sorority member is through the primary (formal) recruitment process on campuses where we have collegiate chapter. You may also be able to join during informal recruitment if your campus allows it. For more specific information on recruitment activities, we encourage you to contact the Panhellenic Council at your college or university.

Alumna Initiate Program

The Alumna Initiate Program allows sorority members to share our Ritual with women who are a large part of our lives and exemplify what being a sorority member is, but for one reason or another, were not presented with the opportunity to become an sorority during college. This program invites women who share our philosophy and purpose and who will support the object of the fraternity

.

The invitation to become an Alumna Initiate can be extended to female friends and relatives of the sorority, faculty advisers and campus leaders, notable women from the local community, women who may have pledged AOII but were not initiated, and any woman interested in mentoring and working with young women from all over the United States and Canada.

To become an Alumna Initiate of this sorority, candidates must have an sorority sponsor who they know personally and who lives locally. Candidates may not be members of another National Panhellenic Conference organization, nor eligible to be an undergraduate collegiate member. Once a candidate for the Alumna Initiate Program is approved, she will be responsible for a one-time initiation fee and pay the one-time fee of her sorority badge.
If you, or someone you know, is interested in the Alumna Initiate Program, please let us know.
